This is a slight variation on the stuffed parathas that may be a little tedious for some (like me) This version is much more hassle-free and may I add, tastier!
Ingredients:
Wheat flour(About 4 cups) 3 medium-sized boiled potatoes 1 medium sized onion(finely chopped) Pinch of asafoetida(hing) Half a teaspoon turmeric powder One teaspoon jeera powder 1 teaspoon chilli powder Coriander(finely chopped) Salt to taste and water to knead the dough. Oil for roasting.
Method:
Add all the dry powders, boiled potatoes, onions, coriander along with the wheat flour and knead the dough with some water. Knead the dough well and you can also add a teaspoon of oil while kneading the dough to a not too firm consistency (similar to the dough we use in chapatis) Roll the dough into thin parathas . Roast the parathas on a tava and add a little oil while roasting. Roast well on both sides. Hot and tasty parathas are ready to eat. Relish these with Indian pickles or curd.
