One of the easiest dishes to make and it takes a total cooking time of 20 minutes including chopping.
Ingredients
250g ground soy chunks
1 large potato, diced small
1 tomatoes, chopped
1 large onion, chopped fine
2 tsp ginger/garlic paste
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
6 cloves
2 black cardamom
1/4 tsp garam masala
Method
Start by sauteing onions till they are golden-brown. Once there is no water left in them, add cumin seeds and potato and fry till the potatoes are almost done and crisp on the outside. Now except for garam masala, add the rest of the spices and garlic/ginger paste, mix it all up and add the tomatoes. On low heat, fry till the onions separate from the sides. At this point add the soy “meat” (if you are using real meat, fry this separately with some of the cumin and add it back at this point). Sprinkle with garam masala, salt and pepper to taste and serve with parathas (as shown). 🙂
