Ajoy Prabhu left his leadership position with the U.S. Government to transition into preventative and lifestyle medicine, with an objective to transform the health quotient of individuals. He co-founded Circee Health with his wife and partner, Dr. Jennifer Prabhu to fulfil an unmet need and educate people about the transformative potential of chronic disease reversal using a holistic, yet pragmatic approach.
Recognised for being a strategic and innovative thinker, Ajoy possess a strong blend of science, business and technical skills. He has over thirty-four years of combined experience in business development, marketing, data science, IP management, IT, clinical trials and biopharma regulatory affairs and a strong understanding of scientific technologies. Exemplary in leveraging IT for business development and operational management, Ajoy envisions scaling up this lifestyle coaching model by associating with like- minded afiliates and health-care corporations.
Earlier, he was Head of Marketing at the Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) with the National Institutes Of Health (NIH), Maryland where he managed inventions/patents for the NIH, FDA and the CDC. In addition, he helped the U.S. White House Office of Science and Technology Policy lead all U.S. Government Agencies in finding ways to open datasets including technologies and other governmental resources. He is the recipient of six NIH Presidential Awards.
Before NIH, select experiences include VP, Business Development, Guardian Scientific, Inc. At Guardian Scientific, he transferred disease detection technologies (e.g. for HIV, E. coli O157, Salmonella, etc.) into Japan, China, India, The Philippines, Cote d’Ivoire and Cameroon. He has also developed robotic software and immunochemistry for diagnosing pregnancy, anemia, endocrine functions and infectious diseases such as Hepatitis and Tuberculosis at Becton Dickinson.
Ajoy is a serial entrepreneur, and has founded six companies (five biomedical and one IT-related), in U.S.A., Australia and India. Ajoy has been invited to speak to EU MPs at the European Parliament in Brussels on transforming EU’s IP management.
He has authored two patents in the field of medical diagnostics, authored several peer-reviewed journal articles on topics ranging from infectious diseases to computer modelling. He is trained in Lifestyle Medicine from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. He has an completed his M.S. in Pathology, and M.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Maryland. He also holds a Certification in Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins University. He is a Member, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM).
